The studio is looking for people

It was the Media Molecule studio which suffered these various hard blows before revealing, last year, work on a new project. If the developer had indicated that it was not a sequel to Dreams, it was also not clear on the question of a new license or not. Fans of the LittleBigPlanet license were quick to imagine a sequel or spin-off of the series, but an event came to cut short their hopes.

In fact, Media Molecule recently published a job offer for a senior programmer position in art technology. This, in addition to the specifics of the work, adds in its section linked to responsibilities that the candidate “will collaborate closely with the programming team at large to define and defend the technical requirements and standards for Media Molecule's new intellectual property”.

End of the dream

The Media Molecule studio also announced cease support for Dreams from September 1stmore than 3 and a half years after the game's launch. The studio is now focused on its new project and has decided to go all in on it, rather than dividing its attention between continued support for Dreams and the production of a new title. Although no new content will be added after this date, the studio reassured players, specifying that their various creations will remain available and shareable.

Players are now waiting for the new license promised by the studio. Development started last year, we probably won't have any news for a while. However, Media Molecule is used to releasing good quality titles, so there is, a priori, no need to worry.
