Among the many options available, githyanki are often overlooked in favor of more traditional choices such as humans or elves. However, choosing a character of this race can provide significant advantages throughout the adventure.

In the Dungeons & Dragons universe, from which Baldur's Gate III is inspired, githyanki are fascinating and formidable creatures. Hailing from the Outer Planes, they are known for their mastery of the warrior arts and their impressive psionic abilities. This unique combination of skills makes githyanki formidable adversaries and valuable allies in any quest or campaign.

Although Githyanki are often underestimated by players, it is important to recognize the unique advantages they offer. For example, their innate ability, Astral Knowledge, allows them to change skills regularly, providing great tactical flexibility. However, choosing this breed also has some disadvantages. If you choose to play as a Githyanki, many characters will start to ignore you and prefer to talk to Lae'zel, even though she is also a Githyanki. This way of playing has annoyed more than one, but some players will certainly find it interesting and an original way of playing Baldur's Gate III. On the other hand, expect to miss many parts of the story.
