Complex RPG on Steam praised as a steal at only 7 euros

On Steam you can currently try out a role-playing game in early access or as a demo that has so far impressed all players. However, it is also a special RPG.

Heartbound is reminiscent of Undertale, makes everyone cry and is just different

I have one on my usual hikes through the Steam Jungle new role-playing gem noticed, which becomes more and more fascinating the more I find out about it: Heartbound is a solo project by indie developer and YouTuber Pirate Software, who also publishes extremely exciting videos (to the YouTube channel).

What sets Heartbound apart from other point-and-click role-playing games is, in addition to the story about a sad boy, a loyal dog and a mysterious wizard, also the world of Heartbound: Every single action you take actually seems to affect everything else around you.

The Heartbound demo you can try it out for free. Meanwhile, the entire game is currently 20 percent off, so you can only… 7 euros have to pay – Heartbound is still in Early Access (view on Steam).

Heartbound makes you feel things – see for yourself:

“Extremely positive” on Steam

On Steam, the reviews of the game, which hasn't even been completed yet, are almost bizarre: With 96 percent positive votes, Heartbound deserves the stamp “extremely positive“. The game is praised to high heaven in the user reviews: the interactive game world, the story and especially the combat system seem to be completely convincing.

Some of you might like that combat system reminiscent of Undertale. Instead of leveling up your skills, combat works through mini-games that are unique to each individual monster. You cannot die and kill; instead, you see your opponent's memories when you win.

Heartbound is about an unusual duo: The boy Lore is a real grouch for whom the world doesn't offer much joy – and his dog Baron has made it his mission to cheer Lore up as much as possible. Then there is a mysterious wizard Binder, who seems to particularly love apples (but would never admit it).

If you like Undertale or other unusual role-playing games, you definitely need to give Heartbound a try or at least keep an eye on it. A true masterpiece could await you here once the game is finished.
