If there is one thing that television has proven, it is that cartoons can also be fully addressed to adults and retain the loyalty of entire generations over many years. You inevitably have certain famous series that come to mind, perhaps among which is Adventure Time: started in 2010 and created by Pendleton Ward, it now has ten seasons under its belt, no less.

The story is that of Finn, a young boy of around twelve years old and Jack, a dog who can change size and also his adopted brother. Together, they travel on completely crazy adventures in the Land of Ooo, a place where magic returned after civilization fell to the atomic bombs, the famous “Mushroom War”.

Particularly cult, with colorful characters and an ultra-recognizable artistic style, Adventure Time is one of the most popular cartoons today. Many of his scenes have been turned into memes on the web; there have been comics, books and even several video games, including Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion in 2018, a rather popular RPG. And so it's not over.

A role-playing game coming soon

“Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game” therefore lives up to its name: it is a role-playing game (but not a video game, be careful!), completely new and recently announced. Important fact: its financing is participatory and is done on Kickstarterwhere he has already collected around 450,000 euros at the time of writing (for a first level of 93,405 euros).

The principle is rather attractive, namely giving the ability for players to create their own adventures in the world of Adventure Time. The rules are thus modeled on those of Dungeons & Dragons 5, a choice which ultimately makes sense when you know the structure of the episodes and the universe of the series. Moreover, if you are not a fan of D&D, rest assured since a guide (which translates into a separate book) is fortunately offered.

You can therefore invest in the project yourself: at the first level, you will therefore be entitled to the basic edition, with the two books (including the guide).
