Has the Marvel formula been exhausted? For more than a year it has seemed so. Although filmmaker James Gunn's farewell to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 achieved very good numbers, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania disappointed but before that at the box office. It even hailed Boos in the cinema. What happened?
Ant-Man and the Wasp is certainly the epitome of the soulless Marvel film, with an uninspired story, “More of the Same” and terribly sloppy special effects makes the audience angry. A disappointment that certainly contributed a lot to The Marvels' brutal flop. One super powerful superheroine in the vastness of space – apparently nobody wanted to see that. Fortunately, Marvel seems to be taking a more grounded approach in the future.
