A Reddit user asked if there were plans for the studio to deliver DLC for Assassin's Creed Mirage, a question to which Stéphane Boudon responded that absolutely nothing is planned, but that there is no shortage of ideas to bring Basim back .

We are delighted with the reception given to Mirage! Mirage was designed as a standalone experience with no plans for DLC. However, we have ideas on how we could expand Basim's story. But as of today, no post-launch content is planned for Mirage.

We can therefore imagine that the character will make simple appearances in future titles, especially since the studio does not seem to want to work on another game entirely dedicated to the story of Basim.

We really enjoyed telling Basim's coming-of-age story, so yes, we still have a lot to say about Basim. On the other hand, creating a game with so many constraints is a difficult exercise and as a team we would like to explore new horizons and have more creative freedom.

Rather intriguingly, Stéphane Boudon clarified that Ubisoft Bordeaux works “in the darkness to serve the light” when asked if the team would be interested in developing other old-school Assassin's Creed games or if it would like to focus on another IP.

Also, it was revealed through another question that no other major updates are planned for Assassin's Creed Mirage and that “Basim's sword from Valhalla will be available in Ubisoft Connect later.”
