What is the honor duel about?

In the Honor Duel game mode, the aim is to counter your opponent. In rounds, the players have to take turns placing the heroes on the battlefield. After each opponent's placement, you should try to find out the opponent's strategy and respond to it. A round of honor duel ends when you have either suffered a total of three defeats or achieved nine victories. The achievements in the honor duel are reset every week. If you win a duel, you will receive rewards. These are composed as follows:

1st win: 200 diamonds3rd win: 40,000 gold6th win: 200 diamonds9th win: 40,000 gold

This is how PVP mode works

At the beginning you can decide on a starting combo. This consists of a selection of heroes and an artifact, which is always randomly generated. Three of the compilations are already revealed and you can check them out, while the fourth is still to be generated. So if you don't like the first three compilations, you still have the chance to get a fourth one. The first three combinations give you 60 currency as starting capital and the fourth gives you 70.

After your selection, the duel shop will appear. Here you can either buy more heroes or equipment. The currency here are the badges of honor that you receive in the honor duel at the beginning of a round and after every fight, regardless of the outcome. Each hero can carry one piece of equipment.

You can then go looking for an opponent. In the first round you and your opponent can each place three heroes, in the next two. Please note that once the formation is confirmed, you can no longer change it. If your opponent's formation is revealed, you should try to counter the strategy. Heroes that you do not use in battle receive a bonus badge that gives a boost in the next rounds. Then it's off to battle. This runs automatically, so you cannot intervene in what is happening. This once again underlines the importance of your strategic planning.

Tips and tricks for the honor duel

Of course, every honor duel and the associated strategy are individual, but you should note the following tips:

Don't buy too many heroes: You should primarily use the Duel Shop to support your existing heroes and your strategy. Having too many heroes is often just a waste of important resources.Updates the Duel Shop: If you don't like the items in the store, you can use the update option and new random items will be generated for you.Get items and heroes in the shop: If you don't have enough currency to buy a certain item or hero, you can secure it using the lock symbol in the top right. This means that the item remains in the duel shop and you can purchase it after the next battle. The right artifacts and heroes: Pay attention to what your artifact's strengths are and try to build your team around them. For example, if you have the Bag of Wealth, you should mainly use Light Bearer heroes, as the artifact supports them. The right items and heroes: The same goes for the equipment you purchase, of course. For example, you shouldn't give a supporter equipment that increases his attack, but rather give it to a damage dealer.Hero duplicates to upgrade: If you can buy duplicates of your heroes in the store, you should definitely do so, so you can level up some heroes and make them stronger for the next fight. For the first upgrade you need two copies; for the second four.Selling heroes: If you have drawn a hero that you don't need, you can exchange him for badges of honor.Proper improvements to the artifact: After each battle, your artifact also receives XP, which you can use to upgrade it. Once you've collected enough, you can choose an additional effect for your artifact. You should also include this effect in your planning and combinations with heroes.Best heroes last: You shouldn't give your best heroes away to your opponent in the first round, but rather place them in the second round. This is how you surprise your opponent.

The best heroes for PVP mode

For the honor duel, there are no heroes with whom you can be 100% certain of victory. It's all about strategy and planning, which is what makes this game mode so fun. However, there are hero categories that you should always have with you:

Protect: A ranged fighter can give you good support from a distance. The attacks of these are usually large and hit several opponents at once. Recommended heroes: Cecia, Marilee, OdieHealer/support: No matter what your strategy is, you should have at least one healer on your team to support your team's health. recommended heroes: Smokey & Meerky, Hewynntank: A tank protects your team from large direct attacks and can withstand them well. We recommend equipping a tank with an item that gives it additional protection. Recommended heroes: Lucius, Thoran
