After several years of wandering organizing a imitation BlizzCon online, Blizzard Entertainment had returned to his good habits last November thanks to the BlizzCon 2023an event that highlighted the upcoming expansions of World of WarcraftTHE Hero Mauga ofOverwatch 2 or even the extension Vessel of Hatred For Diablo IV.
All fans have been eagerly awaiting information regarding the BlizzCon 2024an event to experience online or at Anaheim Convention Center and much appreciated by the community. Unfortunately, Blizzard published today a statement to announce that the BlizzCon 2024 will not take place. The studio explains how to think about how to organize a BlizzCon in the coming years, but for the coming months, we will have to make do with independent events linked to each game. After much thought over the past year, we have made the decision not to organize BlizzCon in 2024. This decision was not taken lightly, because BlizzCon remains an event that is very dear to us , and we know it's also a moment many of you are looking forward to. Our approach is different this year, and we've explored other formats in the past, but one thing's for sure: we're still excited to see BlizzCon return in the years to come.
Over the coming months, we'll share more information about the year's launches, including World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV's first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. To celebrate these future releases and to bring our communities together in a new and special way, we will soon share information about other trade shows and conventions such as Gamescom. We can't wait to tell you more! We're also looking forward to the Overwatch Champions Series at DreamHack Dallas and DreamHack Stockholm. Finally, we will have the pleasure of organizing several on-site events around the world to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Warcraft. These will complement the festivities that will take place in the various games inspired by Warcraft in 2024. These events are separate from BlizzCon, but we will put all our creativity and imagination into them so that you can find the same festive and friendly spirit.
We hope that these experiences, as well as several other live-streamed events during which we will tell you about the latest news from the worlds of our games, will allow you to rediscover what makes the Blizzard community so special.
