Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon Inspires Netflix’s New Sci-Fi Film and Celebrity Powerhouse

Atlas: so this is the name of Netflix's next big-budget science fiction film. This one has just revealed its first trailer (to watch in our video player above) and therefore takes for muse Jennifer Lopez : the famous singer therefore continues her merry way in the cinema, she who last year starred in The Mother… for the same platform, precisely.

In Atlas, Lopez will take on the role of data analyst Atlas Shepherd, with the ultimate mission: stop the formidable artificial intelligence Harley played by Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), which has already almost wiped out all of humanity in the past. A long-standing fight, therefore, which will push Sheperd to hunt down AI through avant-garde technology and a big gamble: trusting artificial intelligence. Big robot in support.

A director specializing in blockbusters

To manage the construction site, Netflix therefore trusted Brad Peyton, a regular in big productions since we owe him the films San Andreas, Rampage and Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 ((all three with Dwayne Johnson, by the way). For Atlas, no The Rock on the program however.

In any case, know that the film will be available on the platform on May 24, in less than a month. The wait will therefore not be very long and will thus satisfy science fiction fans, who have already been able to very recently fall back on the second part of Rebel Moon (and again, there is a six-hour Director's Cut coming ) or The Three-Body Problem, series adapting the eponymous book. Clearly, SF is popular at the moment.
