Ori: never two without three?

The world of video games sometimes moves so fast that it's difficult to keep track of everything. Not long ago, we told you about Moon Studios. It includes the teams behind No Rest For The Wicked but especially behind the two excellent Ori video games. A little before the release of the first in early access, the CEO of the studio Thomas Mahler explained that he had “already a title” And even some ideas for a potential new opus. Enough to quickly get excited about the third video game which suggests a quality identical to its predecessors (on JV, the first had 19/20 and the second 18/20).

The most cautious, however, had to temper their desire to see Ori return. Malher says that to come back, they will need something to tell since the first two are a complete story. But above all, Moon Studio wants to devote itself body and soul to their newborn.

“No Rest for the Wicked is like our Lord of the Rings”

Indeed, No Rest for the Wicked wants to revolutionize the approach to action-oriented role-playing. It is by borrowing from Diablo and FromSoftware's Souls that it seeks to establish itself. But there is still a way to go. This is why the developers of Moon Studio have put it in early access since April 18 and do not intend to get rid of it any time soon.. This is evidenced by the various declarations, always made by Thomas Malher, on Twitter:

This early access phase is really just the beginning for us and we already have plans for what happens after version 1.0. No Rest for the Wicked is like our Lord of the Rings. And to use this analogy, what we have done so far is akin to a “test screening” of the first pieces. Version 1.0 will be our “Fellowship of the Ring”. And as you all know, there will be a lot to come after this.

A comparison which testifies to the studio's ambition for its title but above all to its long-term vision. Thomas Malher adds that Moon will work on No Rest for the Wicked to further “Next 5-10 years”. An indirect way of making us understand that Ori 3, it's really not for now.
