More than 100 Vaults exist in the world of Fallout. Officially, the fallout shelters were intended to guarantee America's survival in the event of a nuclear war. In fact, in many cases they served as a test bed for sometimes cruel scientific experiments.

We haven't been able to visit all of these vaults in the games or the new series. However, a map in the finale of the Amazon series shows the locations of many fallout shelters. A fan has now taken it upon himself to draw the vaults on Google Earth.

From the sea of lights to the map

Nikki, who has the channel on YouTube Tunnelsnakesfool is not only a big Fallout fan, but also, conveniently, a geography student. Using a special program, she overlaid the map shown in the series finale over a map of America, and the vault locations were made visible on Google Earth.

In a video, Nikki explains how this worked and also goes into the locations of other vaults. The map shows some unusual locations, such as a bunker in Canada:

If you want to check for yourself on Google Earth where there are Vaults in America, then you have to Discord server by Tunnelsnakefools. Here you can download a file that you then have to upload to Google Earth.

Open to it Google Earth And click on the button in the window on the left New+then up Local KML file and subsequently Import. Then you can select the file from the Discord server and then see the locations of the vaults.

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to see which vaults from the games and the series the locations correspond to. One interactive map with all vaults from the games are at least available in the Fallout Wiki.

All vaults and their experiments are also listed here. For example, did you know that there was only one man named Gary living in Vault 108, who was given access to a cloning device? Or that Vault 29 was populated exclusively with children? What do you think is the craziest vault experiment? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
