It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we must inform you that writer and head of Rabbit & Bear Studios, Yoshitaka Murayama, passed away on February 6th due to complications from an ongoing illness.

Murayama first began this journey of creating Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes in 2020 thanks to the support of his fans on Kickstarter. Throughout the game's three years of development, it was the passion of his fans that continued to fuel his creative vision and motivate him to fully invest in the project.

His hard work on Eiyuden Chronicle as a screenwriter is over, but as colleagues and friends, we are saddened to know that he will not be able to see his fans' reactions.

However, even with these feelings, we must accept the reality that he is no longer with us and continue to advance his dream by publishing Eiyuden Chronicle worldwide.

We want to preserve his legacy and vision with this game and we know he would have wanted the rich world he created with Eiyuden Chronicle to live on.

His family sincerely appreciates your prayers and support, but asks that you do not send flowers, mail or other offerings.

We will have more information on Rabbit & Bear's organizational changes as well as changes to some Kickstarter rewards in the near future.

For now, we appreciate your continued support.

Since the announcement of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes in June 2021, early Suikoden fans have been eager to get their hands on this new production imagined by Yoshitaka Murayama. Unfortunately, he won't be able to benefit from the enthusiasm and reactions of players when they finally get to enjoy this new production in two months.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be available on April 23 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. It will be included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog from the day of its release. Playing it will be a great way to pay tribute to the late Yoshitaka Murayama. Also, Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, which was initially scheduled for release in 2023, has been pushed back and will be released on an as yet undetermined date.
