When will xDefiant be released? We may find out shortly. First, a new server test will take place in which anyone interested can take part on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The date of the test has been set and players can already start preloading.
after the Release of “xDefiant” postponed again the next server stress test is imminent. It starts next Friday and runs through the weekend, Ubisoft announced.

Players can participate on the platforms for which “xDefiant” it's planned. These include the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. You can find out details below.
Preload of the xDefiant test started
“As announced in our latest update, we are hosting a server testing session to test the status of our servers and provide important information in preparation for launch,” writes Ubisoft about the upcoming test.
When does it start? Below is the date and time:
- Start time: Friday, April 19, 2024 at 7 p.m
- End time: Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 7 p.m
A preload is available so that players can get started straight away on Friday and get a taste of “xDefiant” without having to go through a lengthy download. Simply visit the PlayStation Store on the PS5, search for the entry “XDefiant – Server Test Session” and put the software in your library or on the console.

Alternatively, it is possible to obtain the test application via the PlayStation web store. Linked is the “XDefiant – Server Test Session” here.
Server Test Session is a standalone version and there are rewards
If you have already taken part in a test, the shooter may remain on the PS5 SSD and in this case it will simply be called “xDefiant”. According to Ubisoft it is a different product. “Keep it as it will ultimately be the final launch product,” said the publisher.
And if you still have the closed beta build on the console: it is marked with a gray icon and has expired. It can be removed accordingly.
While testing “xDefiant,” players will earn exclusive weapon skins and a weapon XP booster. After successfully completing the challenges, the items will be available directly on the shooter's release day.
Challenges and rewards include:
- Play the test: MP5 Shamrock Weapon Skin
- Plays in a party: M9 Ember weapon skin
- Reached level 18: Weapon XP Boosters (x3)
“XDefiant” is designed as a free online first-person shooter in which, according to Ubisoft, players plunge into action-packed battles. Crossplay will be supported right at launch, allowing participants to meet up across platforms.
