There will be no BlizzCon this year. After it was suspected in the past few days that Microsoft was in charge, a statement is available.

In a statement obtained by Windows Central, a Blizzard Entertainment representative confirmed that the cancellation of BlizzCon 2024 was a decision by Blizzard, not Microsoft.
Blizzard felt that the timing for a single event this year was simply not right, even though there was a lot to share.
“This is a decision by Blizzard,” said the speaker. “We've explored different event formats in the past and this isn't the first time we've skipped BlizzCon or tried something new. While we have great things to say for 2024, the timing just isn’t right for a single event at the end of the year.”

Blizzard Entertainment plans to release “Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred” and “World of Warcraft: The War Within” later this year. These are extensions that should not be mixed with each other.
“Instead, we want to focus on highlighting individual games and their moments – Warcraft's multiple anniversaries, the upcoming releases of World of Warcraft: The War Within, and Diablo 4's first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, in particular,” it says Explanation continues.
