Upcoming Korean Series Returns in 2024 with New Season Just Months Later

Adapted from the eponymous webtoon, Sweet Home is a series whose first season was released on Netflix in 2020 : we follow the adventures of Cha Hyeon-soo, a young man who has been depressed since the death of his family and has suicidal tendencies. But when he moves to a new apartment and a new neighborhood, he comes face to face with events that are disturbing to say the least: his neighbors turn into monsters. And not the most charming.

The situation then worsens terribly and the entire sector takes on the appearance of an apocalypse, Cha finding himself infected and endowed with strange powers: Sweet Home thus navigates between drama and pure horror, offering an intense and particularly gory spectacle where torrents of hemoglobin are legion. The tone is dark and the atmosphere gripping: in short, the first ten episodes were a success. Enough so that Netflix released a second season last December.

And here we go again for a ride

We must believe that the production already knew where to go since the news to remember, is that a third season is already about to be released while the second was proposed three months ago: we even have a release window, set for this summer of 2024. The entertainment giant is not idle, yes, even if we don't yet have a trailer to get our teeth into: it won't be long, however.

Moreover, let's take this opportunity to recall the next South Korean series which will appear on the platform: at first glance, we must mention the second season of Squid Game, which will arrive in 2024 and more precisely at the end of the year. A future hit, which will once again break Netflix audience records?

To return to the horrific theme, Hellbound and The Creature of Kyŏngsŏng will unveil their respective season 2 on Netflix also in the coming months. The first takes place in a somewhat particular context where humanity has found the way to anticipate the death of everyone and where the angels are responsible for sending those who use this ability… to hell. The second tells the story of a group's struggle against a formidable monster at the end of the Second World War.
