It's been 25 years since Matrix came out, yet a new secret was revealed. This is not a revelation about the scenario or yet another theory, but a fact. This concerns the creation of its title, more particularly the logo. Widely known, the six letters that make up the name “Matrix” are arranged in such a way that they give the impression of being “glitched”. This creative work started on the basis of a fairly classic font: Times New Roman!

An unexpected revelation!

It was in a message on social networks that the secret was revealed. Indeed, a message invites us to discover how the American Tim Girvin used the Times New Roman font to create the famous logo. A fairly simple base, but admirably used here:

To achieve this result, Tim Girvin made some changes to the font we all know. From the outline to the filling of the letters, the creative has left nothing to chance. However, something was missing: the “bug” side. It was thanks to shapes such as rectangles that he decided to cut out the six letters and arrange his cutouts around the title.

In the rest of the message, a book is mentioned. It is “The Illustrator 10 Wow! Book”. A work which brings together the stages of creating designs known throughout the world.
