Doctors noted that blood-thinning drugs – anticoagulants – are extremely dangerous to take without a prescription. “In older people, this leads to severe complications: bleeding, strokes,” Malysheva emphasized.
Gandelman added that anticoagulants are indicated only to a certain small number of patients who were hospitalized, under the strict prescription of doctors. According to the doctor, the sale of blood-thinning drugs in pharmacies is “on the verge of a crime.”
