Star Wars Outlaws: the new clan designed with Lucasfilm Games reveals more | Xbox

Star Wars Outlaws is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Developed by Ubisoft Massive, the fathers of The Division and more recently Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, it will highlight the character of Kay Vess in an original story taking place between the films Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back And Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

During her journey, the smuggler will have to improve her reputation with different factions known to fans of the franchise, but also the Ashiga Clan, which is revealed a little more today.

The Ashiga Clan reveals itself more

In a preview published recently in the columns of Game Informer, we learn more about this somewhat special fourth union. Indeed, if the Cartel HuttTHE Pyke Union And Scarlet Dawn are all part of the universe, the Ashiga Clan was created especially for the game in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, just like Kay and her companion Nix, or the new planet Toshara :

Julian Gerighty, creative director of the game, explains that the studio and Lucasfilm Games call each other every week to ensure that each element that the studio wishes to produce fits best into the universe:

Every week we have several calls with them to tell them what we would like to do, our intentions, and they challenge us; we go back and forth like that for several weeks to be able to get the language right, the lore right, to make sure it's part of the Star Wars canon.

The Ashiga clan is now part of the Star Wars canon. Toshara is now part of the Star Wars canon. “It's very rewarding to help design such a lovable and ferocious creature like Nix and see it become part of one of the world's most famous intellectual properties.”

John Björling, associate narrative director, explains that the clan seeks to expand beyond Kijimi, a planet widely highlighted in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker :

They have a long tradition and certain events in recent history have placed them at a crossroads where there are different ways to move forward, and they don't necessarily agree on the best path forward.

He adds that the clan functions as “a hive of the Melitto species”, which has a strong hierarchy and puts the hive first, making it a unique faction:

You have these insectoid, humanoid species that look a lot like ants, and it's based on the premise of, “A crime syndicate that basically functions like an anthill, what does that look like?” »

It is a union which has a long tradition, which has a strong hierarchy and which puts the hive before itself. I think these aspects make it a unique crime syndicate

As we know, your reputation and your decisions will have repercussions on your relationships with the different groups, the quests they give you and the progress of the story, so we can't wait to meet this new faction.
