The Brest-based CHR Group aims to expand globally with its innovative catering digital solutions

Created in mid-2013 in Brest, ePack Hygiene is today a leader on the European market in digital solutions to simplify mandatory hygiene and safety procedures. so-called HACCP food in catering. Adoria has been supporting it for three years, which deploys management solutions for catering groups located on several sites. For its 2023 financial year, CHR Group posted a turnover of 26.9 million euros, an increase of around 30%.

“Our objective by 2026 is to double in size to reach 50 million euros, aiming for 32 million for 2024”, projects Stéphane Ankaoua, who joined the structure last year, and is now CEO of CHR Group and ePack Hygiene. Founder of ePack Hygiene, Yves Rallon today remains chairman of the supervisory board of the group, whose majority shareholder is New Alpha Verto.

Subsidiaries in Europe


“Making ePack Hygiene the world leader in digitalized HACCP”, the trajectory of the Brest group is clear. ePack Hygiene now has 18,000 customers, mainly restaurateurs, butchers, caterers, and small collective catering structures.

“We work mainly in France. Before Covid, we opened a subsidiary in Spain. Its activity is accelerating, with the signing of local clients over the past six months”specifies Stéphane Ankaoua, mentioning the recent opening of a subsidiary in Italy. If the company intends to quickly open up to the Anglo-Saxon market, its manager wants to capture the American and Asian markets by 2026-27, with specific and adapted strategies.

Technology and recruitment synergies

To support this internationalization, CHR Group also wants to strengthen the synergies between ePack Hygiene and Adoria, which markets a “food cost” management and optimization solution for multi-site catering groups.

“ePack Hygiene and Adoria are very complementary. We want to strengthen the technological synergies of these two platforms, and move towards the automation of certain tasks and be able to integrate predictability and anticipation of purchases”summarizes Stéphane Ankaoua, who also intends to rely on the AI ​​experience of François Ruchon, recruited in March as general manager of Adoria.

CHR Group employs 200 employees, including 163 in Brest, headquarters of ePack Hygiene and its ESN ID3I (35 employees). The workforce should reach, in the medium term, 250 employees with recruitment in Brest, in Paris where an office has just been opened, in Spain and in Italy.
