Peitcher and Gerinner want to get to you

“SoLA” sends players to a Californian music festival that bears the same name and, in keeping with the zombie-heavy game, is a bloody pleasure. While the initial mood couldn't be better, the beat brings something terrible from the “other world”.

Because a dangerous virus is rampant in the Valley that is turning the residents into wild zombies. Players of “Dead Island 2” are lured by a mysterious message and must plunge into the SoLA chaos to put an end to this threat from supernatural spheres.

New apex zombies such as the Whipper and the Clotter appear. After self-mutilation, the first-mentioned adversary essentially gets tangled up in his own intestines, which he uses as a weapon. He is described as an opponent with medium range, powerful attacks and special abilities.

“This big guy can effectively teleport in and out of the player’s space, making it difficult to maintain visibility and control,” it says. They wanted to create something that “completely disintegrates before the player's eyes and then reassembles itself into a puddle of fleshy goo.”

Baseball bats and circular saws don't mix, don't you think?

As players face new challenges in “Dead Island 2,” there are also new weapons to help them.

The Ripper weapon, for example, combines a baseball bat and a circular saw into a successful combination that can be used to cut off the heads of the undead. And the Sawblade Launcher is a powerful ranged weapon that pierces and decapitates multiple targets at once.
