When is the next PlayStation Showcase? There is a clue that this time does not come from the typical leakers in the gaming industry.

Giant Bomb editor Jeff Grubb, on the other hand, claims to have found out in April that Sony is planning a bigger show for May. “I heard there will be a PlayStation event next month, in May, either a State of Play or a showcase,” Grubb said.
PlayStation Showcase next week?
As usual, Grubb remained vague with his predictions. And the next clue is also on shaky ground. DJ Akademiks, who reports on the music industry as a podcaster, indicated in an Instagram post that the PlayStation showcase in question would take place next week.
In the now-deleted post, DJ Akademiks claimed that rapper Kendrick Lamar would not be able to release another track until Sony's PlayStation showcase is over next week as part of his feud with fellow rapper Drake.
Allegedly, this restriction is due to the musician having signed a “marketing deal” with Sony, like Gamerant reported.

The PlayStation showcase for next week is by no means confirmed. However, the information sounds like something that definitely has substance. And the deletion of the post could indicate that important information was shared too soon. Or DJ Akademiks was just completely wrong here.
Regardless, a PlayStation showcase in May sounds quite plausible, provided Sony sticks to last year's schedule. Last year such an event took place on May 24th.
