Your mission is to save Empress Nadinia at all costs in Dragon's Dogma 2, but you don't know how to thwart the plans of the assassin who is after her? The quest Prayers under threat from Dragon's Dogma II asks you to save Empress Nadinia from an assassination attempt during morning prayer.
You will obtain this quest when Menella, your first ally in Battahl, asks you to find her at the Palace of Flame. When you go there, the latter will call out to you and ask for your help to catch the assassin who attempted the life of the Empress of Battahl, Nadinia.
During the morning prayer, your mission will be to get your hands on the assassin who intends to carry out his plan by immobilizing him on the ground.
- If you fail, simply quit your game and then restart it. You will return to the investigation stage in the Palace of Flame!
If you can't find the murderer, here's some help for you: This is Herman, a man placed to the left of the stairs (when you are at the top of the stairs, with the altar behind you). He carries a sword, has semi-tied hair, and has numerous scars on one of his arms.
After the events at the Flame Palace, you can join Menella at the Volcanic Camp Hot Springs. By speaking to her, the latter will once again ask you for help to try to reveal the identity of the person who orchestrated the assassination attempt.
Herman, the bandit you previously caught, won't bother to say a word about the plan to assassinate the Empress, so Menella asks you to try your luck. To get him to talk, offer him a bribe of 5,000 gold coins; it will not take long to reveal the name of the group behind this disastrous plan.
So much back and forth in this quest! Because you will have to see Menella again at Volcanic Camp to keep her informed of the latest information you have dug up. The latter will then ask you to go see the Coral Serpents in the Bakbattahl jails to trap them by revealing sensitive information. Fortunately, she pays you for the fast travel with a transstone.
Once in the jails, talk to Ashe, a man wearing warrior paint on his body. Imply that you are holding the Empress to start setting up your trap. When you have finished with the Coral Serpent bandit, return to Menella once again (but to Bakbattahl this time) to keep her informed of the progress of the plan at the empress's hiding place which will be marked on your map.
At this stage, your choices will be crucial, so find below the best answers you can give to the Empress:
- Support the Empress's idea to act as bait,
- Tell Menella that you are ready to carry out your plan,
- Draw your weapon, without attacking the empress to prove your loyalty to the assassin,
By proceeding in this way, you will be able to know the full extent of the plans of the group of Coral Serpents assassins and thus completely complete the sequence of quests around Menalla and Nadinia.
