The current streaming charts for series from Netflix, Disney Plus and Co. in Germany paint a clear picture. At number 10, LOL – Last One Laughing is the only German production in the top 10. However, things get really interesting from number 3 onwards.

Shogūn won the bronze medal in the German streaming charts. The new series on Disney Plus is considered by many to be the absolute highlight of 2024. Resides in second place 3 body problem, the science fiction series from the creators of Game of Thrones. There is extremely strong competition at the start, but that couldn't impress a more than extravagant video game film adaptation in the slightest.

Fallout, the excellent new series, is at number 1 on Amazon Prime Video the German streaming charts. And rightly so. We were also more than enthusiastic about the video game adaptation – with a catch. A success that comes as quite a surprise. Because Amazon doesn't necessarily stand for bold, extravagant, high-quality series.
And there's a good reason for that. With The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power The online retailer's last major series production was a general disappointment. It's all the more surprising that Amazon has delivered its masterpiece so far with a more than courageous film adaptation of the Fallout role-playing games.
