Nintendo SWITCH 2: a larger console and new magnetic Joy-Con - Rumor

And here we go again! And even two !

Whilea rumor on the Nintendo SWITCH 2 come to ignite the internet by affirming in particular that the next console of Nintendo would finally come out This yearthe Spanish site Vandal (this cannot be invented) comes out with an article with “exclusive information” who says the opposite: The Nintendo SWITCH 2 will not come out 2024 !

THE “exclusive information” from the site would come from accessory manufacturers who would, a priori, have been able to manipulate the console without seeing it! The manufacturers would in fact have had the opportunity to slip their hands into an opaque box in which the new console was located, just to get an idea of its size, its design and some of its specificities without being able to describe it.

Thanks to this all the same, the site affirms that the Nintendo SWITCH 2 will be larger than the current console Nintendo without however reaching the dimensions of the Steam Deck, and also that the new console will keep the system of Joy-Con detachable but with a notable change: instead of the rail system of the current Switch, these new Joy-Cons will attach magnetically.

A change which seems to indicate that the Joy-Con that we know will not be able to be hooked to the new console – which does not mean that they will not, despite everything, be compatible. The remote Switch Pro would also be compatible with the Nintendo SWITCH 2.

In the series, I don't know anything but I'll tell you everything, the site also indicates that although the question of backward compatibility of the console has not been raised with the manufacturers, this does not prevent the latter from assuming that the Switch games will be playable on the Nintendo SWITCH 2 ! Vandal claims anyway that according to other sources, “the console would be fully backwards compatible“.

To finish his article, the site Vandal also shares other rumors which indicate in particular that the console will embed an NVIDIA chip based on the architecture Ampere graphics cards RTX 30 Series and that she will take “supports smoothing and rescaling of DLSS textures, and would even integrate Ray Reconstruction technology which improves the quality of real-time ray tracing in video games. On the other hand, will she grill chicken? We do not know anything.
