New action hit sweeps all of Hollywood aside

The battle of the blockbusters is raging. Since the start of 2024, a large number of equally good and successful films have already been released in cinemas. This ranges from the record hunter Dune 2 to the also very successful animated adventure Kung Fu Panda 4 to the colossal Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. What is Civil War about?

Who is currently number 1 in cinemas?

The new action film was able to premiere in the USA alone on its opening weekend grossing more than $25.7 million and thus easily take the top spot. Even the celebrated monster epic Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire had no chance “only” to $15.5 million came and had to be content with second place. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire can currently be found on the third and final step of the winner's podium. But that's not enough.
