Menus and content are on today's program for The First Descendant

Nexon is still very active on upcoming changes to its title. If the battlefields were the focus of the latest Dev Note, menus and high-level content are the new subjects of The First Descendant. New features and clarifications have been made to the menus. As for the content, it is greatly expanded in addition to making the experience more enjoyable.

Dev Note 9, interface redesign

Very confusing during the betas, the main menu was completely redesigned by the developers. It is now more readable, better organized, but above all better organized. 6 main categories survive, divided into submenus to ensure better fluidity and readability. More precise descriptions regarding equipment and mission objectives have also been added. This will make it easier to know what an element of a weapon does, or to know what is more effective.

Finally, a new feature is added. These are loadouts. These are presets allowing you to choose a legatee and a weapon module with a single button. You can save your favorite builds there, and thus change them more easily. Weapons, modules and legatees can be personalized. But we also find a loadout dedicated to weapons, and another to characters.

Dev Note 10, a nicer experience

The most interesting in the latest Dev Notes The First Ascendant obviously concerns the content of the game. It had suffered some criticism despite its good points. But that wasn't enough for Nexon, which decided to review what was wrong and improve what was already convincing. Starting with the dungeons, [Opération de récupération], which are intended to be end-of-game content. For them, the goal is to offer rich, entertaining content that is constantly renewed. It will therefore be possible to personalize the objectives and difficulty.

Beyond that, the user experience is generally reviewed to be improved. The monster AI has therefore been modified to make them more threatening. Taking cover or hiding will no longer be enough to make them disappear. In return, and to avoid a feeling of helplessness when you have more chargers, support droids are added. These are located in camps, and allow you to replenish your ammunition.

However, in addition to content, matchmaking has also been overhauled in The First Descendant. We start with the addition of a “Private” option to invite only friends. This will also allow you to launch a mission or dungeon directly with group members, without trying to fill empty places. In addition, it is now possible to cancel the search for a group so that you no longer get stuck.
