Last fall, CI Games and Hexworks took on a big task with the action role-playing game “Lords of the Fallen”. After the dark fantasy adventure initially struggled with technical difficulties, a large number of updates were released.

Now those responsible are reporting that after over 30 updates since publication, they have finally completed the post-launch roadmap for “Lords of the Fallen”. With “Master of Fate” the game is upgraded to version 1.5 and equipped with the “Advanced Game Modifier System”.

Play Lords of the Fallen the way you always wanted to

A mass of improvements in performance, stability and optimization alternate with new content every week. The “Master of Fate” update includes, among other things, the following adjustments:

  • Significant performance, optimization and stability improvements
  • Rigorous difficulty balancing, including a reduction in mob density and a nerf to ranged attacks
  • Shared balancing for PvP and PvE
  • Better matchmaking and more stable connections in multiplayer
  • Three new questlines: Season of the Bleak, Trial of the Three Spirits, and Way of the Bucket
  • New armor and weapon sets
  • New secret boss weapon abilities
  • Improved boss fights with additional movesets and new AI
  • 12 new spells
  • New heavy strikes, meaning each weapon type now has two unique finishers
  • Three new projectiles (Blood Vomit, Explosive Mines, Frost Worms)
  • Quality of Life adjustments: inventory expansion, appearance reset, save functionality, gamepad rebinding

However, the “Advanced Game Modifier” is the focus of the “Master of Fate” update. This allows you to fully customize your experience in Lords of the Fallen.

There are seven different modifiers available that players can combine with each other. This can be used to make the game easier or more difficult. Among other things, the enemies can be placed randomly. Mob density can also be adjusted. And last but not least, a permadeath function should of course not be missing.

So you can now put together a challenge for yourself and experience the action role-playing game the way you want. “Lords of the Fallen” is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
