Lost Records: Bloom & Rage by Don't Nod Studios was announced in December, but after that the game from the makers of Life is Strange, Life is Strange 2 and Tell Me Why became quiet. But now there is finally a sign of life and a new trailer for the game, which is scheduled to be released this year.

The studio's statement to its colleagues is quite exciting GamesRadar, that Lost Records: Bloom & Rage will apparently appear again in episodic form, but in this case there will only be two parts. One reason for this is Game of Thrones, because the developers miss the break between episodes during which players can discuss and process the events.

The studio hopes that the break between the two stories will encourage players to discuss what happened in the first part and theorize about what will happen in the second part – just like in previous games. “That's something we kind of lost with the Netflix format,” explains the developer. “In television shows, for example, there is no longer any synchronization with other people to talk about something.”

“I remember in the Game of Thrones days, after every Game of Thrones episode on Monday morning, everyone would talk about what had happened in the previous episode,” recalls creative director Michel Koch. “And we're kind of missing that today.”

Then we can only hope that enough players get their hands on the title to find someone to talk to. The story doesn't sound bad and revolves around high school friends Swann, Nora, Autumn and Kat, who meet again for the first time 27 years after a magical summer. The action takes place in that summer of 1995, but also in the present at the reunion, during which a dark secret is revealed that ensured that the four friends never spoke to each other again.

In a new trailer you get some small insights into the events of 1995 and get to know the characters and their hometown of Velvet Cove:
