How to Complete the Crucible Quest and Obtain the Bane of Ghouls in Fallout 4

With the success of the series, Fallout 4 was entitled to a next generation update a few days ago. Except that the latter has not only added new features in terms of graphics! Indeed, new quests have also been added along the way.

Among the latter, we find in particular “Creuset” which will particularly interest us here. The first step to unlocking it is to do this update, if it has not already been done. Once it's good, open your Pip-boy and you should see this quest.

For the moment, you will not really have any more information, except that you need to explore the Saugus Ironworks. So this is where you will have to go. To help you find it easily, we have indicated its location on the map below.

Once there, go through the big door and you will have to face the guardian of the Forge. Once it's done, all you have to do is search his corpse to recover a note. Read the latter and the serious things can begin.

Start by picking the toolbox on the upper floor or collect the cans if you can't find a wrench. In the toolbox, then you will find a password and a note. Read it from your inventory.

A little further on is a terminal, choose “Smelter controls disabled” on it. Then go down to the level below and click on the big red button. Return to the terminal and this time choose “Move Crucible”.

Go back down and wait until the crucible has finished moving so you can search the ground and get your hands on modules. That's good, power armor is right next door! Place the leggings there and use the armor station to install the fire resistance modules.

Now that you are protected against this element, you will be able to swim in lava and that's good because not far you will be able to recover a unique weapon, the Bane of Ghoulswhich is an incinerator dealing 50% more damage to ghouls.
