At the beginning of April, Jeff Grubb made the prediction that the official presentation of the long-awaited Gears of War 6 won't be too long in coming. Citing unnamed sources, he named this summer as a potential time period for the reveal – and a well-known spokesman is now taking the same line. In this respect, speculation is given new fuel.

In this case, what is meant is Liam McIntyre, who voiced JD Fenix in the well-known action series in the past. Now, when asked by a fan what JD's fate will be in the next Gears, McIntyre replied: “I have no idea, I think @GearsofWar will tell us all in June.”

This specific month fits in well with the big Xbox summer showcase planned for June, during which a new Gears could finally be presented. It's been almost five years since the last part of the franchise – so it's about time.

The chances of a presentation of the new game are probably not too bad, considering that McIntyre, a spokesman for the series, in addition to a number of renowned insiders, has made such a statement and prediction. Since Gears of War 4, released in 2016, Liam McIntyre had voiced the role of JD Fenix in the action series.

Gears 5 famously ended with a cliffhanger as players had to decide whether to save Del Walker or JD Fenix. It can also be speculated whether The Coalition may have set an ending as canon, which a possible Gears 6 now follows. The fact that McIntyre doesn't seem to have a clue could possibly mean nothing good for JD Fenix - or maybe McIntyre is just stupid. We will of course keep you updated on what happens next with Gears 6!
