Assassin's Creed Mirage gives news about the future

Indeed, Stéphane Boudon, creative director, and Jean-Luc Sala, artistic director, although answering a limited number of questions, despite a significant flow of questions from the community, offered answers which made it possible to lift the veil on several aspects of their work.

The two officials claimed to have designed Assassin's Creed Mirage as a standalone game. No current plans for downloadable content. However, Boudon did mention that ideas were being considered to extend the story of Basim, the game's protagonist. While it seems unlikely that Basim will ever be the focus of a dedicated game again, it's still great news. These comments suggest that he could reappear in future titles in the franchise. Additionally, it was stated that the Sword of Basim, from Valhalla, would be available later on Ubisoft Connect.

In fact, beyond Basim's adventures, the developers have expressed their desire to continue exploring new horizons. And benefit from greater creative freedom. Which could mean the creation of new characters to enrich the Assassin's Creed universe.

New modes?

The AMA session also revealed that new content for Photo mode and ideas allowing players to create and share their own challenges and contracts were being considered, possibly for future games in the series, notably developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux. Last February, Permadeath mode was added to Assassin's Creed Mirage. Demonstrating the developers' continued commitment to delivering renewed experiences to players.
