Fans have eagerly awaited this sequel for 10 years: New Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch

There were some interesting new announcements at this year's Pokémon Day. However, the official Pokémon Channel saved probably the biggest news until the end: In 2025, a new Pokémon offshoot, Legends: ZA, will be released for the Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Legends: ZA officially announced

Coming soon for Pokémon fans Replenishment on the Nintendo Switch. Because Game Freak is working on a new series part with the name Pokémon Legends: ZA. This one should 2025 appear on the handheld console – a precise release period was not announced.

There is no gameplay to be seen in the announcement trailer for the new Pokémon game, but the almost two-minute video still provides a few interesting clues. But see for yourself:

Long-time fans of the series will have noticed it straight away: It's going back to that Kalos region from Pokémon X and Y. As a reminder: The two games of the sixth generation were released in autumn 2013 – at that time for the Nintendo 3DS. So the release is now over ten years back.

What else does Pokémon Legends: ZA have to offer?

There was no concrete information about the gameplay during the presentation. But since it is a Pokémon Legends spin-off, it is reasonable to assume that Game Freak special attention to the open game world lays – that was at least one of Arceus' greatest strengths.

So maybe players can make specific decisions that affect the cityscape, so that the city looks a little different for each player. However, this is currently pure speculation.
