The leader of the Seven enters the Mortal Kombat 1 arena

The formidable Homelander, narcissistic and sadistic psychopath from The Boyz series, is preparing to shake the arenas of Mortal Kombat 1 (starting this spring). If we expected to find Antony Starr in the skin of his character, it is ultimately Chris Cox, who already gave his voice to Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11, who will take care of the voice of Homelander.

While no reason has been given for the main actor's absence, NetherRealm can be trusted to faithfully capture the troubled and disturbing essence of this antagonist. The first images revealed suggest a faithful reproduction of the character, both in his appearance and in his complex personality.

While waiting for his entire move set, we can still be satisfied with certain fatalities which perfectly interpret the psychology of the character: a being who does not hesitate to use his supernatural powers to satisfy his own desires and fuel his feeling of superiority over humans (and henceforth the gods).

Homelander is made to wait twice

Although he is expected in Mortal Kombat 1, Homelander is just as expected on the small screen. And what a sense of timing, because in addition to making its arrival on the fighting game, the latter is especially making its comeback on June 13 with season 4 of The Boyz! Said season picks up after the terrible events that took place in season 3, with Butcher undertaking a quest for revenge against Homelander.

Having marked the minds of many, many speculations about the composition of this new season have been made. We can indeed expect season 4 to further explore the antagonist's past and his links with Stormfront.

Our heroes will have a lot to deal with during this season 4, because in addition to embarking on a quest for revenge, the next eight episodes will also be punctuated by a major problem: Soldier Boy, the legendary superhero of the past, who presents itself as a new threat. Eric Kripke, the show's writer, producer and director, said The Boyz season 4 will be the wildest and most explosive yet. So if we mix in the bloody brutality of Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1, we'll have plenty to do for the end of this spring!
