During the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany, the city of Dortmund also wants to position itself as an e-sports location.
The signs point to summer fairy tale 2.0 – at least from the perspective of the organizers and the national team: The UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2024 for short) starts on June 14, 2024 in Germany. Not all fans can be there live in the stadiums: the demand for tickets was many times greater than the available contingent.
To accompany the group and knockout games in the ten host cities – the 'Host Cities' – fan zones with a lavish accompanying program will be created. The football stronghold of Dortmund has set itself the biggest mark in the area of gaming and e-sports.
