Netflix is no longer master of its destiny on French territory. An actor “made in France” has made a remarkable comeback with its SVOD service. Three months later, the TF1+ catalog is still evolving with a collection of films that should delight Nicolas Cage fans… or not. This ultimate cinematic ordeal is available for free.

On January 8, 2024, the TF1 group launched TF1+, a new video on demand (SVOD) streaming platform. This evolution of MyTF1 offers a wide choice of content, accessible for free unlike its main competitors (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+). The free TF1+ offer gives access to a catalog of dozens of films, series and anime financed by advertising. Users can thus find popular content such as “Tomorrow belongs to us”, “Here it all begins” or even “Grey’s Anatomy”. The Premium subscription, offered at €5.99 per month, allows you to remove advertisements and benefit from exclusive or preview content.

The “Nicolas Cage” collection on TF1+

The TF1+ catalog is constantly evolving. Unlike other SVOD services, the one that interests us is partly linked to the broadcast of films and series on the group's television channels, but not only. Indeed, some works are present for a few days following their appearance on TV while others are intended to remain for several months. The streaming platform has just added a “Nicolas Cage” collection containing 7 films. Unfortunately, TF1+ has gone bankrupt. This is clearly not the crème de la crème of Francis Ford Coppola's nephew's filmography. On the contrary, the focus is on feature films approaching at best 40% on RottenTomatoes. Some are even among the worst films of all time.

Here is the list of films available on TF1+ in the “Nicolas Cage” collection:

  • Arsenal (3% on RottenTomatoes)
  • Code 211 (4% on RottenTomatoes)
  • Jiu Jitsu (27% on RottenTomatoes)
  • Primal (38% on RottenTomatoes)
  • The Old Way (32% on RottenTomatoes)
  • Tokarev (12% on RottenTomatoes)
  • Vengeance (no press score on RottenTomates)

The unmissable films from TF1+

TF1+ reserves several films and sagas for its slightly curious users, each of which has left its mark on cinema in its own way. The catalog contains little-known gems and more mainstream titles to brighten up your spring evenings. Here is a non-exhaustive list of unmissable highlights available on TF1’s SVOD service:

  • Bronx
  • Jurassic Park (the trilogy)
  • The Hobbit (the trilogy)
  • The Talented Mr. Ripley
  • The Transporter (the trilogy)
  • Lucy
  • Michael Vaillant
  • Mission: Impossible 2
  • Mortal Engines
  • Dead or alive
  • Sleepless
