The developer Arrowhead Game Studios has once again managed to get the internet excited. Via X (formerly Twitter), the development studio posted a meme with two arrow combinations. The community now has the task of voting democratically for one of the two. You can find out what this is all about in this article.

A difficult choice

Anyone who has already spent some time in Helldivers 2 will immediately recognize that the arrow combinations are Tactical equipment input codes acts. These are different support items that can be requested using certain key combinations.

The X-Post shows the well-known Two button memes, in which a person has to choose between two options and works up a sweat in the process. The man in the second panel was replaced by actor Craig Lee Thomas, who you probably know from the intro to Helldivers 2.

As already mentioned, there are two input codes to choose from. Presumably there should be a vote as to which of the two tactical equipment suits the game should be added first. If so, you'll be able to try both out sooner or later.

What tactical equipment is behind the codes?

Of course, in the comments there is now speculation as to which tactical equipment is hidden behind the codes. Although this cannot yet be said for certain, there are some indications that point to a rough direction.

  • Both input codes start with an arrow pointing downwards. That points to Supply or defense equipment there.
  • The longer input code has an arrow pointing upwards in the second position. That points to one Backpacking equipment such as the shield generator or the jump pack.
  • The shorter code has an arrow pointing to the left in the second position. That points to Mines there.

The guesses are based on patterns identified by the community in the pre-existing tactical gear input codes. This is just speculation and should therefore be treated with caution.

If you want to know what happens next with Helldivers 2, we recommend the articles at the top of the box. There you will find out which enemy faction is expected to be next for the co-op shooter. The developers also tell you which feature they strictly reject, even though many fans demand it. For Steam users, we also recommend our guide, which tells you what you should keep in mind with the new game return policy.
