Fans of Helldivers 2 are currently celebrating another victory for the Super Earth: Sony has refrained from requiring players to link a PSN account and has even apologized.
Previously, the announcement of the account requirement and the resulting sales stop in numerous countries led to an outcry in the community. Over 100,000 negative Steam reviews were submitted, some of which have since been withdrawn. The Helldivers chief developer now wants to immortalize the reviews in the game in a humorous way.
This design is pretty cool
Chief developer Johan Pilestedt shares a fan's idea on Twitter, which initially sounds like a joke. A new cape that shows the Steam reviews from the past few days as red bars:

The new design
was the idea of a community member. When asked whether there will actually be such a cloak, Pilestedt answers:
The team is now thinking about a good name for it.
So it seems as if players will actually get the cape. Of course, name suggestions are also diligently posted on Twitter:
I would be for Mob mentality
with the description A reminder of why we have managed democracy
haha.

Helldivers 2 does what others only try to do!
The humorous immortalization of the negative reviews is also well received on Reddit. This creates a lot of fun joking suggestion from a fan: The new cape should be a reward for linking a PSN account to Helldivers.
In fact, Johan Pilestedt has already announced that the cape will be available for free. However, there was no mention of additional activation conditions.
After the dispute over the account requirement is over, developers and fans alike are sure to be happy to be able to get back to the game itself. After all, Helldivers 2 is something very special: You can hear why it achieves something that other shooters fail at in our podcast.
