Blog Post Title: Mufasa: The Lion King Teaser Amazes with A-List Cast but Denies the Past

In the summer of 2019, Walt Disney Studios an adaptation was released in theaters live-action of his classic The Lion King, with animals in computer-generated images dubbed by renowned actors. The success of Jon Favreau's film was sufficient for another project to be put into production, this time with Barry Jenkins directing. This time, there is no question of relying on the two sequels to the adventure of Simba, it is an original story serving as a prequel that we will be able to discover, centered on Mufasa. We discovered its title in the summer of 2022 and the schedule has not changed since the big update which was made at the start of the year. To start the week, it's a first teaser trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King which has just been put online.

If these first extracts are impressive, the synopsis accompanying the video may well raise more than one eyebrow. In fact, it was until now established that scarcalled Taka in his youth, was the biological brother of Mufasawhich in the book A Tale of Two Brothers took badly the fact that his brother was chosen to access the throne by their father the king Ahadi. In this film, Mufasa will be an orphan who will meet Taka… Carrying out such revisionism is enough to make one cringe.
