Beloved Cartoon Returns to France After Over a Decade

Totally Spies: release date, channel and broadcast time

One year to the day after the official announcement, these cult heroines of our childhood are preparing to make their return. The Totally Spies, a cartoon broadcast in the early 2000s on TF1, is back for a seventh season. If we have known since last year that the continuation of the adventures of Sam, Alex & Clover will be broadcast on Cartoon Network in the United States (before arriving on Max), there was not yet any information concerning distribution in France. This is now done with Gulli's announcement at the beginning of the week:

A return of the most glamorous spies in the history of cartoons who are making their return eleven years later, which will take place every Sunday morning at 10:40 a.m. on Gulli.

A new design and a new life

But why such a wait? If some spectators have fun with the past eleven years (comparing this period to that between GTA V and GTA VI), others wonder about what this seventh season has to say. It must be said that in 2011, at the end of the sixth season, the three heroines left Beverly Hills to each join university. This seventh season therefore thumbs its nose at its older sister: we find Clover, Alex and Sam in new adventures as they join… a high school in another city. A synopsis probably justified but which raises questions. There is also a new design awaiting them. Something justified by Benoît Di Sabatino, the general director and producer of the series:

The new series stays true to all the key elements that make the series popular, but has been lovingly updated for a new audience, reflecting the modern challenges faced by high school students and spies!

Enough to follow this seventh season with interest for fans. The perfect excuse to get back into the cartoon game before the release of video game adaptationplanned for 2024.
