The next play test version is now waiting for you in the PlayStation Plus Premium software library. This time you can take a detailed look at Remedy's survival horror hit “Alan Wake 2”.
Yesterday, Wednesday, Sony Interactive Entertainment introduced us the essential titleswhich will be provided to PlayStation Plus subscribers in February 2024.

In addition to the announcement, the company enriched the premium tier of PS Plus this week with another free trial. This time you will be able to play Remedy's survival horror title “Alan Wake 2”, released in 2023, for free over a period of three hours.
As before, you can carry over your progress and continue your adventure seamlessly if you decide to purchase the full version of “Alan Wake 2” after playing the demo.

Remedy's latest prank
“Alan Wake 2” was released at the end of October for the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the international test ratings, Remedy's new work is one of the best horror titles of last year. But “Alan Wake 2” was also very well received by the community.

For example, the average rating on Metacritic after more than 70 reviews is 89 points. While the user score on Metacritic is 8.8 points, the survival horror title has a user rating of 4.8 stars in the PlayStation Store – with around 15,000 reviews.
In “Alan Wake 2” we take control of two protagonists. On the one hand, we are dealing with the thriller author Alan Wake, known from the first part, who finds himself in a living nightmare in the sequel.
The second playable character is Saga Anderson. The developers describe Anderson as a dedicated FBI agent who specialized in solving supernatural cases. In “Alan Wake 2,” the agent travels to the tranquil town of Bright Falls to get to the bottom of a series of ritual murders.
“Alan Wake 2” was only released in a digital version. While the standard version costs 59.99 euros, the deluxe edition is available for 79.99 euros.
The Deluxe Edition's extras include cosmetic content and the Expansion Pass, which includes upcoming story expansions.
