14-Year-Old Fantasy Role-Playing Game Experiences a Resurgence as a Top Seller on Steam

Final Fantasy 14 is already celebrating its 14th anniversary this year and now, shortly before the new expansion for the online game is released, it was able to secure a place in the Steam top sellers.

In 2010, the fantastic journey of Final Fantasy 14 began and since then the game has received numerous expansions. The latest, Dawntrail, will be released in July 2024 and some fans of the game series see this as the right time to get involved. At the time of publishing this article, Final Fantasy 14 Online is currently on the second place among the Steam top sellersclosely followed by the upcoming expansion (source: Steam).

If you want to get into the game yourself, you have several options. You have the choice between the Starter and Complete versionswhich have different properties.

Starter Edition: Suitable for absolute beginners. It contains the base game A Realm Reborn and the first two expansions, Heavensward and Stormblood. With this version you get 30 days of free playing time, so you can test for a month whether Final Fantasy 14 Online is something for you, after which a subscription is required. Complete Edition: This edition contains the base game as well as all previously released expansions including Endwalker. When is Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail released?

The latest expansion is expected to be released on July 2, 2024 and can already be pre-ordered. Pre-orderers can secure several bonuses with the wind-up Zidane companion, the Azeyma earrings, which grant you a 30 percent routine bonus up to level 90, and early access to Dawntrail.
