Gothic Remake: This is how the role-playing game wants to combine new and old
There is still no release date for the Gothic Remake, but as the unveiling of the Collector's Edition showed: it is getting closer and closer! The role-playing game may even be released this year.
Four new screenshots have been published on Steam, which show, among other things, the new model of a well-known NPC – Gomez!

These are the new screenshots
Gomez
A familiar face can be seen in the new screenshots. This is Gomez, one of the most powerful men in the entire Mine Valley. An unscrupulous man that you will have to deal with in the course of the story of Gothic.
Of course, we don't plan to predict how the story will unfold at this point, but Gomez plays an important role in it. After all, he appears as a powerful archbaron who, as a kind of robber king, rules over the prison colony in which he was once a prisoner himself.
Goblins
The fellows in the next picture aren't necessarily remembered as your best friends either. Here you see a small band of goblins who have settled in front of a cave. The screenshot shows that the curmudgeons have undergone quite a transformation.
After all, these little fellows were often laughed at in the past. Sure, even in the remake they will probably only frighten a newly stranded hero, but at least they no longer look like dinosaurs that are a little too short. What the goblins should look like in the remake was already shown in the artwork. But now there is a real screenshot from the game.
The gate
The goal has already been seen in a few other pictures, but this time we can at least see it from a different side! And from the side from which you will see it for the first time while playing. Incidentally, the guards here are said to have an extended daily routine and even leave the gate to Minental unguarded when they go off work.
A warehouse
In the last picture you can see a warehouse. So, neither the old camp nor the new camp, but just a general camp! A place where people store tons of stuff. What you can particularly admire here is the level of detail and the great lighting atmosphere that prevails in this actually dark cave. It immediately makes you want to go on a bit of an adventurous exploration tour.
Unfortunately, as mentioned at the beginning, the Gothic remake does not yet have a date. But it's only a matter of time before it's revealed. After all, it is already possible to pre-order the Collector's Edition, which is limited to 7,500 pieces. However, it also costs a lot; you'll have to shell out a whole 200 euros for the edition.
