A service still in beta

Despite being available for years, the Xbox cloud gaming service still remains in beta today. Keyboard/mouse support in the cloud has only been available since March, and only for insider members for the moment.

We tested the feature on Quake and Valheim and we can confirm that it works by being an Insider with the latest version of the Xbox app on PC. But that doesn't seem to be the case for everyone yet, one member of the editorial team can't yet play keyboard/mouse in the cloud even though he ticks all the boxes for the requirements.

At the moment, only Edge and Chrome browsers are compatible with the Xbox cloud keyboard/mouse as well as a handful of games. It is also specified that browser users will have to activate the preview functions to access the functionality.

To do this, you must click on your profile image on xbox.com/playthen select Settings and activate “ Preview Features “.

It is also mentioned that the game stream must be in fullscreen mode for keyboard/mouse support to work, while pressing the F9 key exits keyboard/mouse use in-game.
