On Android, Île-de-France Mobilités is launching a test of the dematerialization of the Navigo Liberté+ pass, its adaptive package which allows you to pay a price adapted to its use at the end of the month. The Liberté+ pass finally allows you to travel to zones 3-5.
In a few months, the Liberté+ package could become the best way to travel in Île-de-France, without question.

If you are not familiar with this offer, it is a package that allows you to pay for your trips at the end of the month (thanks to a direct debit mandate). Each ticket costs 1.73 euros (compared to 2.15 euros normally) and a day is capped at 8.65 euros, including if you travel 30 times. Its main drawback is that it is limited to Paris and its inner suburbs, since it only allows T+ tickets to be replaced. For a regional ticket, you must necessarily purchase a paper ticket. It is also not available on Android smartphones and should not, unless surprisingly, be compatible with the iPhone in June 2024.
These limits could soon be abolished, while Île-de-France Mobilités begins to test the end of the zones and the arrival of Liberté+ on Android. For several years, the region has been carrying out gigantic work to modernize its network to know where a traveler enters and where they leave.
A test on Android, with variable prices depending on the destination
On its website Le LabÎdFM details its Liberté+ dematerialization project on May 2, 2024. “Tired of buying origin-destination tickets to travel in Île-de-France? The dematerialized Navigo Liberté + all zones will change your life »quips the company, well aware that Liberté+ subscribers do not like to waste time getting out of Paris.
Initially, “Le Navigo Liberté + all zones” is reserved for NFC-compatible Android smartphones. The experiment has some limits, since it does not yet allow for daily ceilings. The prices nevertheless remain more attractive than with tickets purchased individually.

With the Navigo Liberté+ all zones, goodbye to the single price ticket of 1.73 euros, prices may vary. An exit to zone 3 will cost 2.56 euros, while an exit to zone 5 will increase prices to 4 euros. In any case, it is finally possible to go to Disneyland from Châtelet with your smartphone.
The test, which is already complete, starts on May 2, 2024. Île-de-France Mobilités will perhaps extend it to the iPhone in the near future, pending an official deployment in the coming months. When the Navigo Liberté+ all zones is finalized, physical passes should become eligible. But, by then, smartphones (iPhone included) will perhaps have become the best way to take the metro.
