For a long time, nothing has happened in the gaming world when it comes to pure boxing games, and quite a few people are mourning titles like Fight Night. Well, from October you can swing your virtual fists again, because Undisputed from Steel City Interactive now has a final release date. Accordingly, the game is set to be officially released on October 11, 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Hopefully in good condition, because the user reviews of the Early Access version on Steam are still pretty mixed.

The content is hardly a failure, as Undisputed features a roster of more than 70 licensed boxers of both genders, including Tyson Fury, Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones Jr, Deontay Wilder, Oleksandr Usyk, Rocky Marciano, Larry Holmes, Katie Taylor and Amir Khan. You can also fight for the official WBO, WBC and IBF titles in 14 well-known locations, commented by Rodd Grisham and Johnny Nelson.

As part of a career mode, you can also create your own boxer and work your way to the top with him. There are obviously also management elements such as contracts and team building, but of course also the training of your athlete.

In terms of play, Undisputed obviously wants to move towards simulation. This is clearly indicated by footwork mechanics, over 60 different punches, physics-based interactions and an adrenaline system, but also fouls, clinches and interactions with the referee.

Undisputed will be released in a Standard Edition and a Deluxe WBC Edition, which allows access to the game three days early and includes the following packages:

  • Fighter Pack with Jaime Munguia, Regis Prograis, Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez, Dmitry Bivol, Caleb Plant and Julio Cesar Chavez

  • Apparel Pack with alternative ring attire for Claressa Shields, Canelo Alvarez, Oleksandr Usyk, Katie Taylor, Tyson Fury and Amir Khan

  • Eras Pack featuring versions of younger fighters – Tyson Fury in 2009, Canelo Alvarez in 2011 and Muhammad Ali in 1964

A physical version of the Deluxe Edition also includes an official WBC patch
