“Grounded,” the third game in the Xbox initiative, is now available in the PlayStation Store. Initial ratings suggest that the title hits the nerve of PS4 and PS5 players.

The first PS5 offensive of Microsoft's new – albeit still manageable – multiplatform strategy is approaching its finale. Before “Sea of Thieves” hits the Sony console at the end of the month, players can start their journey through “Grounded” today.

The title developed by Obsidian Entertainment has reached the PlayStation Store. And it seems that the new target group is quite impressed.

Grounded earns high PSN ratings

Many ratings have not been added up in the PlayStation Store since “Grounded” was activated. However, around 200 player votes resulted in 4.75 out of five possible stars, which is a comparatively high value. 90 percent of the participants gave the highest rating.

The Xbox audience seemed a little less happy at the original launch. Here the user score was slightly lower: 7.9. However, the underlying evaluation platforms are not fully comparable. The Metascore is at 82.

However, the developers had to admit connection problems today:

In “Grounded” players experience the world from a different perspective and shrink to the size of an ant. Afterwards, the cooperative adventure involves exploring, building and surviving.

“Will you be able to withstand the attacks of the huge hordes of insects and overcome the dangers of the garden?” say the creators.

Are more Xbox games coming to the PS5?

“Grounded” is what it is third game from the Microsoft initiative. “Pentiment” started last February, before it was “Hi-Fi Rush” in March. Regarding the latter game you can read a test here.

“Sea of Thieves” marks the provisional conclusion on April 30, 2024, but could pave the way for further games:

It is unclear what the situation is with the larger games, including “Starfield” or even long-standing Xbox brands like “Halo”. Microsoft wants to move on stick to your own hardware, whatever it looks like in the next generation. It can therefore be assumed that the draft horses will remain in their own stables for the time being.

The PlayStation community would also not be pleased if Sony brought exclusive blockbusters like “God of War” to a competing system. This scenario was recently the subject of a survey on PLAY3.DE.
