Will the PSN requirement harm success? Sunday poll

Is it the death knell for “Helldivers 2” on Steam? After the announcement of the PSN requirement, the PC community went to the barricades. How much damage will the shooter end up with? And are the reactions even exaggerated?

Sony Interactive Entertainment has the next shitstorm. After the Japanese company announced that it would also be available for the PC version of “Helldivers 2”. PSN account becomes mandatoryit hailed Backlash and negative reviews.

This showed “Helldivers 2” So far it's impressive that Sony's live service plans are actually promising. The co-op shooter could even play the “Call of Duty” series ultimately overshadowed.

It remains to be seen whether Sony will speak up next week and mitigate the current situation or explain it in more detail. But do you think the strong reactions from Steam players are justified?

If “Helldivers 2” remains a PSN requirement, will it emerge from the current controversy with greater damage or will most players simply go back to shooting their way through the shooter?

There is actually a plausible reason for the criticism from players on Steam: In some countries there is no official PlayStation Network and with the PSN requirement, players living there would have no regular way to access “Helldivers 2”.

Arrowhead pointedthat there will be a solution for fans in these countries, but it appears to have been different than what the developer had intended: “Helldivers 2” has been on Steam in regions without a PSN connection for a few hours no longer officially available. They were added to the list of “purchasing restricted countries”.

Are account links a reason for exclusion for you?

So there are good reasons for some of the players to take to the barricades. On the other hand, account links of this type are common and also established in certain console games. The developers have a uniform administration and support system for users, which, among other security benefits, benefits.

Assuming that PC gamers in a number of countries were not faced with closed doors and could officially create their PSN account in two or three minutes, would the backlash still be understandable in this case? Or are you fundamentally opposed to account linking?

Meanwhile, the review bombing on Steam continues unabated. The user score for “Helldivers 2” is now “extremely negative”. The thumb has pointed down more than 140,000 times since the PSN requirement was announced. What proportion of these are actually affected by the PSN hurdles described remains unclear.
