Which of these 30 consoles and handhelds do you own?

The PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch have been increasingly hitting the counters for some time now. They are the latest in a series of consoles and handhelds. Which do you own?

Consoles and handhelds have accompanied gamers for decades. Some systems are or were more successful than others and are therefore more often owned by gaming fans. It's the topic of our latest Sunday poll.

After last week the most popular “Resident Evil” games It's the turn, this time it's about the pure ownership of video game hardware.

Which consoles and handhelds do you own?

A fairly simple question would have been which of the four current consoles PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Switch remain in readers' households. Sales statistics give a rough indication, so there would probably be no surprising results.

We therefore go one step further and include the 30 best-selling consoles and handhelds of the past decades.

Here it is not crucial whether the systems are actively used. In today's survey, we would rather like to know what hardware you own – regardless of whether it is stored in the attic, stayed with your parents after you moved out, or is actually ready to hand and used regularly. Below is the overview in descending order of publication.

More hardware will follow

The oldest video game console included in the survey dates back to 1977. That's when the Atari Video Computer System – later renamed Atari 2600 – came onto the market. With 160 million sales The PlayStation 2 is the most successful console. And it looks like that number will remain unattainable for the time being, even if the Switch is shortly before the presumed launch of the successor is only around 20 million sales away.

AI, cloud and the like are likely to play a role. And also a handheld came into conversation. The Redmond company has not yet provided any details.
