Which French government apps simplify administrative procedures?

France Identity

France Identity is designed for smooth and secure management of your online identity. By combining the electronic identity card and the new driving license, it allows users to store their identity data on their smartphone, thus replacing the physical card during checks. The application also simplifies online authentication for easier access to various government services, such as taxes or Social Security.

France Identity offers users total control over the sharing of their information thanks to an innovative single-use identity credential system. This dematerialization simplifies identification processes while strengthening the security of personal information. The only condition to have it: it requires the new identity card model to function.

Ameli account

If there is another public service application that everyone could need, it is Compte Ameli, the digital space for Health Insurance. The Ameli app provides full access to your account, allowing you to view the latest reimbursements and payments, and download supporting documents.

It also facilitates various administrative procedures such as ordering an EHIC, declaring a change of health card before it arrives on smartphone, monitoring work stoppages, declaring a newborn, requesting complementary solidarity health insurance, simulating aid, declaring a recourse against a third party, change of user name, etc. You can also manage your personal information and change your contact details if necessary.

In the field of health, the Government has also developed the My Health Space application, which does not help you with administrative procedures, but allows you to centralize all information and dematerialized medical documents related to your health.

Impots.gouv and Amendes.gouv

The General Directorate of Public Finances has developed 2 digital services to simplify two administrative procedures which are never pleasant: paying your taxes and paying your fines.

Impôts.gouv simplifies your tax obligations and quickly informs you of your tax status. No more travel and tedious administrative formalities! This application allows you to consult your administrative documents, complete your income tax return, pay your taxes and track your payment history online. In addition, it offers you the possibility of updating your profile and managing your direct debit contracts with ease.

For Amendes.gouv, it’s even simpler. Two options are available to find your fine digitally: scan the QR code or manually enter the ticket number. After completing the fields, follow the different verification, validation and secure payment steps. Once the confirmation is displayed on the screen, you can download the receipt in PDF or send it by email.

Simplimmat

Simplimmat is now available throughout France. This initiative, carried out in partnership with ANTS, aims to simplify the formalities linked to the transfer and registration of used vehicles between individuals. It thus avoids the use of printed CERFA documents and traditional administrative procedures.

Sellers and buyers must download the app and follow the instructions to register the vehicle, enter the necessary details and complete the transaction. Buyers can also request their registration card via the application, pay taxes online and receive a provisional digital registration certificate, before the final document.

My France Work Space

For job seekers, the Government has updated the old Pôle Emploi application offering them the possibility of managing their France Travail account with an easy-to-use interface and practical tools accessible at any time. It allows you to consult your situation, check allocations, receive messages and find out the agency's opening hours.

Management of the monthly update is simplified, with the possibility of answering questions and retrieving the update certificate. Thanks to the document scanning function, the necessary supporting documents can be sent quickly. However, it is not possible to view or apply for job offers from this application.

CAF My Account

For CAF beneficiaries, a dedicated mobile application is available. Caf – My Account optimizes the management of the benefit area of ​​the Family Allowance Fund, allowing secure and simplified online procedures. It also offers eligibility simulations to find out if you are entitled to state aid or not.

Requests for benefits can be made directly by submitting forms and supporting documents through the app. Management of existing files is also available, allowing access to payment deadlines, histories and modification of personal information. A messaging system is also available to facilitate communication with CAF, avoiding having to travel to a center and spending hours in a long queue.

My Training account

As its name suggests, My Training Account allows citizens to monitor their training rights throughout their career in real time. The app, like the associated online service, provides simplified access to a variety of accredited professional training courses. Different filters allow you to quickly find the training that could help you bounce back in your professional career: qualifying or certifying training, online or in person, price range, number of hours, training location, etc.

Rights holders can consult the detailed information sheet for each organization (pay attention to the necessary prerequisites) and select a training course from the list displayed. They can therefore contact the training centers directly for information and registration.

My retirement account

In the same vein as My Account Training, French people can track their retirement contributions with the application or online service My Account Retirement. They can access their career records, tracing all of their professional activities and their associated retirement points. These points then make it possible to calculate the amount they will receive upon retirement and, above all, in how many quarters they will be able to leave the world of work at full rate.

Another advantage of this service is that simulators are capable of estimating the retirement amount based on the current situation and possible professional changes. Ideal for knowing if it makes sense to leave before the legal age or if it is interesting to work a few extra years to have a more comfortable retirement. Like most applications developed by the government, My Retirement Account offers a space for communication with the administration, allowing the user to inform the services of an error in the calculation or of missing quarters of contributions.
