Using the Almonds.gouv App on Your Smartphone to Pay Fines

Fines received for traffic violations can be paid from your Android smartphone or iPhone. An official mobile application exists on both operating systems.

If you have received a fine for a traffic violation, you can pay it directly from your smartphone. Indeed, the General Directorate of Public Finances offers a mobile application called Amendes.gouv, for Android (Google Play link) and iOS (App Store link).

Once the application is installed on your smartphone, you must scan the 2D barcode (“QR code”) appearing on the ticket, or manually enter the notice number and the key. Then, a box summarizes the date of the infraction, the date of the notice and the amount of the fine you must pay.

Amendes.gouv manages payments by credit card. Further down on the screen, you have a form to enter your bank card details (type of credit card, expiry date, card number and finally the cryptogram). If you have made no mistakes, you will then get confirmation on the screen, via a green message.

At this point, two options are available to you: you can transfer this conformation to your mailbox, or download it directly to your smartphone. You also have a shortcut button to pay for another one, if you tend to break the highway code a little too often.

In addition to paying fines, there are online services that allow you to both view the points on your driving license and know when you will get back those you are missing.
